Announcement: Coffee Lecture "From Emergency Homes to Modular Urban Housing"
On the 29th of January, we are hosting the coffee lecture “From Emergency Homes to Modular Urban Housing“. Xavier Blaringhem will guide the audience through the work of the Housing Cluster, showing the evolution from single-unit emergency solutions and challenge to upscale it for collective housing and urban considerations.
The presentation will highlight the advantages of modularity and technology to reach high quality, effective process, sustainability, collaboration and open source for locals.
Xavier Blaringhem is an architect and urban designer, Partner at KCAP and formal Lecturer at the School of Architecture of Strasbourg. Trained in France and The Netherlands, working since 15 years in Zürich, he offers some of his time and his knowhow on both design and technology level to suppport the future reconstruction of Ukraine, with a focus on Housing from detailing up to urban scale.
The coffee lecture is organised as a part of the exhibition "ETH with Ukraine - Exchanging Knowledge for a Sustainable Future".
