Announcement: Movie Screening "Rock Paper Grenade", September 23
The movie “Rock Paper Grenade“ directed by Iryna Tsilyk and based on the novel by Artem Chekh tells a story about relationships between children and adults broken by shaky 1990s in Ukraine.
The boy Tymophii befriends a weird man named Felix, his grandmother’s new boyfriend. He's a veteran of the Afghan war, he has PTSD and he loves music. Despite the tension Felix brings to the household, Tymophii forms a bond with him through music, chess, and odd life lessons. Through the movie, we see a bittersweet story of growing up in a broken time, capturing the fragile line between chaos and connection.
