Coffee Lecture "Doors to Ukraine. Housing Initiative: Between Utopia and Reality"
The coffee lecture "Doors to Ukraine. Housing Initiative: Between Utopia and Reality" on February 1st by Anastasiya Ponomaryova, provided an insightful exploration of housing utopia in the context of the Russian war against Ukraine. In particular, the lecture presented the recent achievements and strategic goals of the initiative CO-HATY in Ukraine. This initiative provided approximately 1,500 affordable beds for mid-term stays in response to the escalating housing crisis. The Utopian perspective of this housing initiative combines immediate action with a long-term strategy for housing policy.
This coffee lecture, a crucial part of the "ETH with Ukraine - Exchanging Knowledge for a Sustainable Future" exhibition, emphasized the significance of addressing the fundamental need for housing in times of crisis. We thank Anastasiya Ponomaryova and our audience for their engagement in the discussion of this urgent topic.
