5 лютого у Цюриху пройшла зустріч із Тамарою Горіха Зерня, під час якої ми мали можливість послухати уривки з роману “Доця” у виконанні авторки. Під час дискусії Тамара розповіла про свій шлях від перекладачки та волонтерки до письменниці та про те, як її власний досвід на Донеччині трансформувався у художні образи. Авторка розповіла про історію написання такого важкого роману, зокрема і про людей, які стали прототипами персонажів. Окремою темою обговорення було і пояснення контексту російської війни в Україні іноземцям. Завершили вечір тривалою автограф-сесією, де кожен мав можливість поспілкуватися з письменницею особисто та підписати свій примірник книги. Дякуємо усім, хто долучилися до цього вечора!

On February 5th, Zurich hosted an evening with Tamara Horikha Zernya, where we had the chance to hear excerpts from her novel "Dotsya" (Daughter) read by the author herself. During the discussion, Tamara shared her journey from translator and volunteer to writer, explaining how her personal experiences in the Donetsk region were transformed into literary imagery. She spoke about the process of writing such a profound novel and the real people who served as prototypes for her characters. A key topic of the conversation was how to effectively communicate the context of the Russian war in Ukraine to international audiences. The evening concluded with an extended book signing session, giving everyone a chance to speak with the author personally. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening!
